About

This land patent for Philip Livingston Jr. was first in the collection of Grinnell Library in Wappingers Falls, NY, and was sent to Warwick's historian, Florence Tate, in a mistaken thought the document was for the town west of Florida, NY. This document was in the possession of Florence Tate while she passed, and her sister then brought it to the Warwick Historical Society. Since gaining ownership the archive of WHS has reached out to the Florida State Archives to inquire if they would be interested to take possession, but there was never any interest.

This document and seal now lives in the miscellaneous drawer in the flat files.
